Baudilus

The Holy Baudilius (* maybe in Orléans; † 360 in Nîmes) suffered under the Roman emperor Julian the Apostate ( 360-363 ) in Nîmes in southern France martyred. He is the patron saint of the French cities of Nîmes and Poitiers. In the Spanish city of Salamanca him the parish church of San Boal is dedicated. Legend

According to the legend of St. came. Baudilius one day to Nimes, just as was celebrated in honor of a pagan god a feast. Baudilius condemned this hard and crashed a statue of a god in order.
