Bavarian State Office for Survey and Geoinformation

State Office for digitization, broadband and surveying Bavaria ( LDBV ) until 31 December 2013, State Bureau of Surveying and Geoinformation Bayern (LVG ) is the name of the August 1, 2005 in Bavaria, newly formed in the course of administrative reform institution under the authority of the Bavarian Ministry of Finance for Regional Development and home department " digitization, broadband and surveying". It was created by merging the previously responsible for land surveying Bavarian Land Surveying Office and the authorities responsible for Cadastral surveying departments of the district finance offices.

The LDBV has its headquarters in Munich, its function as a means authority for the 51 offices for digitization, broadband and surveying it perceives through the three regional divisions in Munich, Landshut and Schwabach. Head of LDBV is Since 1 November 2008 Klement Aringer.

The stone cellar in the State Office for digitization, broadband and surveying is the largest stone lithography camp in the world. On 26634 flagstones here the maps of the first land survey in Bavaria have been archived. The advantage of the Fossilstone Plattenkalkes was used, inter alia, dimensional stability over a long period (in contrast to, for example, paper). Accordingly, the collection was also used until the mid 20th century. Since 1980, the archive is a listed building.

The institution of the jury box in Bavaria is the oldest known surviving municipal and voluntary work in Bavaria. Activities at the State Office and the Bayern Atlas heard.

On January 1, 2014, the data center was south of and incorporated from the Bavarian State Office for Statistics (until then Bavarian State Office for Statistics and Data Processing ) in the State Bureau of Surveying and Geoinformation. The new name of the office is the State Office for digitization, broadband and surveying. The Computer Center South, however, remains almost completely under one roof with the National Statistics Office in the building in St. -Martin-Straße in Munich.
