Bayer Schering Pharma

The Bayer Pharma AG is a subsidiary of the pharmaceutical sector Bayer AG with its headquarters in Berlin. It is the Bayer HealthCare AG assumed the health sector of the Bayer Group (Bayer Healthcare) assigned and occurs under the brand Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals.

The company was formed in 2006 after the acquisition of Schering AG by Bayer AG. After initially operated under the name Bayer Schering Pharma AG, it was renamed on July 1, 2011, Bayer Pharma AG. This change of name was made in the course of a general strengthening of the Bayer umbrella brand; the old company name Schering was thus abandoned.

Main locations in the area of ​​research in Berlin and Wuppertal in Germany and Berkeley in the U.S.. The largest German production plant is located in Berg Kamen.

The company produces mainly in Europe, USA, Asia and Latin America. Around 40,000 employees worldwide work for Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals. The Group has more than 100 affiliates around the world.
