Bayi, Nyingchi County

Bayi (Chinese八一 镇, Pinyin Bayi Zhen ) is a large village in the administrative district of Nyingchi Nyingchi county in Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. Bayi is the capital and seat of government of both the government district as well as the circle.

The name " Bayi " (八一, Bayi ), literally Eight -one, is the first day of the eighth month, so for August 1, the anniversary of the Nanchang Uprising, which is celebrated as the anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army.
