Bayramiç

Bayramiç is a city and a county in the northwestern Turkish province of Çanakkale. The city is located about 45 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital of Çanakkale. In 2011, the city had 13,476 inhabitants, the county 30 471.

The district is located in the south of the province. It is bordered to the south by Ayvacık and the province of Balıkesir, in the west on ezine and to the central district and on the east by Çan and Yenice. Bayramiç lies in the valley of the Küçükmenderes Çayı, the ancient Scamander, which is dammed east of the city to the reservoir Bayramiç Baraji.
