Bàsquet Club of Andorra, also known under the name River sponsors Andorra, is an Andorran basketball club from the capital, Andorra la Vella. The first team plays in the Spanish LEB Oro. The home games will be held in the 1784 -seat Poliesportiu d' Andorra.

History

The club was founded on 12 June 1970 as the Club de Basket Les Escaldes. A year later, the club changed its name to Club Bàsquet Andorra and enrolled in the Catalan Basketball Regional Association to henceforth to take part in competitions throughout the Federación Española de Baloncesto one. In the 1991/92 season begins, BC Andorra sat in the second league, La Liga, through, and thus ascended to the ACB league. Here, the club should have four seasons contest and reached his best result in 1994/95 with eighth place. In the Spanish Cup BC Andorra failed in the quarterfinals. In the season 1995/96 the club was represented in Korać Cup, there the Andorran sat in the first two rounds against ABC Trodat catfish and KK Vojvodina Novi Sad through and reached thus surprising the group stage, but where, at Anadolu Efes SK pallacanestro Varese and Panionios Athens failed. In the league, the club finished in 19th place, an increase from the second-rate LEB. Due to financial difficulties Andorra BC was graduated in 1997 in the Regional. After several seasons in unterklassigen divisions, the club managed to 2012/ 13, the return to the LEB.
