The Beagle Harrier is one of the FCI (No. 290, Gr. 6, sec 1.2) recognized French breed.

Origin and History

In the 19th century the hounds Harrier and Beagle were crossed to obtain a hunting dog that can also be conducted from horseback. The result is a hound who meets these demands with: Medium-sized, fast and strong. Outside of France, hardly known, it is also small game but also deer and even wild boar ( wild boar ), are used.

Description

The Beagle Harrier is a small to medium-sized (up to 50 cm, 25 kg) hunting dog with straight hair, tri-color, with tan or dark markings. The fuselage is short and muscular. The ears are V-shaped, flat, thin, not too long
