Béatrice Romand

Béatrice Romand ( born April 16, 1952 in Birkadem near Algiers ) is a French actress.

Romand was a German audience mainly for her roles in films Éric Rohmer such as Claire's Knee ( the first collaboration ), fall history or the green lights, but also by the role of Charlotte ( " Charlie ") in the evening series Graf Yoster gives itself the honor known.

At the age of 8 years, she left during the Algerian war with their parents, their home. In Paris she studied classical dance, photography and art before she was 16 years old for the first time for the six -part television production Mauregard front of the camera. Until now (2005) she appeared in over 30 movies and television films as an actress.

Two of her collaborations with Éric Rohmer were excellent. The Motion Picture Arts Club of New York praised her performance in Claire's Knee in 1970 with the award for the Most Promising Actress ( most promising actress), and for the lead role of Sabine in the beautiful wedding she received at the Venice Film Festival 1982 Award Best Actress.

As a director or producer, she had to share another, some with award winning short films and documentaries.

Today Béatrice Romand lives with her family in the Limousin region.
