BW

The Rivière Beaurivage is a left tributary of the Rivière Chaudière in the Chaudière - Appalaches administrative region of the Canadian province of Quebec.

The Rivière Beaurivage has its origin in the small lake Lac Beaurivage near Saint- Séverin in the foothills of the Appalachians. It flows predominantly in a northerly direction through the MRC Lotbinière. He passes through the villages of Saint -Patrice -de- Beaurivage, Saint- Gilles and Saint- Étienne- de -Lauzon. The river finally flows south of Les Chutes -de- la- Chaudière -Ouest, a suburb of Lévis, in the Rivière Chaudière. In Saint- Gilles Bras d' Henri meets the right side of the Rivière Beaurivage. The Rivière Beaurivage has a length of about 65 km. It drains an area of 727 km ².

The river name is derived from Gilles de Rageot Beaurivage. This was on April 1, 1738 Seigneurie Saint -Gilles, which extended over the catchment area of the river, transferred.
