Bébé Manga

Elizabeth Bessem Ayamo Manga (* around 1951 in Mamfe, Cameroon, † July 1, 2011 in Douala ), also known as Bébé Manga, was a Cameroonian Makossa singer. Her most famous song is " Ami O". She is considered one of the most famous Makossa singers of the 80s. In Côte d' Ivoire her journalists gave the name Bébé Manga because of their particular voice. She began her career in the nightclub " Son de Guitar" in Abidjan. It was celebrated in the "Top D'or 2005" in Abidjan as one of the best African artists of all time. Bébé Manga died at the age of 60 years on July 1, 2011 on way to the hospital from a heart attack.
