Bécheresse

Bécheresse is a commune of 300 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the Poitou -Charentes region of France. Residents Bécheressiens call themselves.

Geography

In the municipality of Bécheresse springs from the river Né.

To Bécheresse include the districts Chez Bautrit, Le Maine Cité and Les comps.

The neighboring municipalities are Plassac - Rouffiac in the north, Voulgézac in the east, Pérignac in the south, Blanzac - Porcheresse in the southwest and Champagne- Vigny in the West.

Demography

In 1793 lived in Bécheresse around 700 people. In the 19th and in the first half of the 20th century the number of inhabitants decreased constantly.
