Becquerel is an impact crater in the northern hemisphere of the moon. It lies on the far side and consists of a very old and highly weathered formation, which represents little more than an irregularity of the lunar surface. The Kraterrände are very shallow pronounced and were formed by numerous other impacts to a mountainous region to the flat interior. The interior of the main crater is mostly flat, but is dominated by small impact craters.

In the southwest of the crater is a small, straight extending valley was formed by further strikes. In the northwest part of the double crater Becquerel Becquerel W and X to the formation, in the east it is supplemented by two smaller crater Becquerel Becquerel E and F.

The crater was first recorded in 1965 by the space probe Zond -3 at its flyby of the moon. It received its official name in 1970 by the International Astronomical Union ( IAU).
