Beijing Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden Beijing or Beijing Botanical Garden (Chinese北京 植物园, Pinyin Běijīng Zhíwùyuán ) is a botanical garden on the northwestern outskirts of Beijing Haidian District between the Xiangshan Park and Jadequellenberg (玉泉 山) in the western hills. It was founded in 1956 and covers about 400 hectares, 200 of which are open to visitors.

On its grounds are the building complex of the Temple of the Sleeping Buddha ( Wofo si), also the grave of the reformer Liang Qichao, the China Bee Museum ( Zhongguo Mifeng Bowuguan ) and the Cao Xueqin - Museum ( Cao Xueqin Jinianguan ).
