Beizhen

Beizhen (Chinese北 镇 市, pinyin Beizhen Shì ) is an independent city in the administrative territory of the prefecture-level city in southwestern Liaoning Province Jinzhou in the People's Republic of China. It has a surface of 1782 km ² and has 527,000 inhabitants ( end of 2010), of which more than 62% members of the Manju - nationality.

History

1907 as "circle Guangning " (Chinese广 宁县, Pinyin Guǎngníng Xiàn ) was founded Beizhen. Six years later he was renamed " Beizhen ". The circle Beizhen was dissolved on 29 June 1989, refounded as " Autonomous County Beizhen of Manju (Chinese北 镇 满族 自治县, Pinyin Beizhen Mǎnzú Zizhixian ). On 21 March 1995, the Autonomous District Beizhen was again dissolved and refounded as the "City Beining " (Chinese北宁市, Pinyin beining Shì ). On 7 March 2006, the city Beining was renamed " City Beizhen ".
