Beland Honderich

Beland Honderich OC ( born November 25, 1918 in Kitchener, Ontario, † November 8, 2005 in Vancouver ) was a Canadian newspaper publisher ( The Toronto Star ).

Life

Honderich worked during the Second World War at the Toronto Star. In 1955 he became editor in chief, publisher 1988. Honderich created with the Toronto Star, the largest independent Canadian newspaper.

His brother is the Canadian- British philosopher Ted Honderich.
