Belaya Rus

Belaya Rus ( German White Rus, historicizing name for Belarus ) is a Belarusian political and civil society association for the support of longtime President Alexander Lukashenko in the parliamentary elections of 2008 and in the presidential elections of 2010. The founding congress was held on November 17, 2007. As an example of the Russian party "United Russia" should have served.

Chairman of " Belaya Rus " is the Belarusian Education Minister Alyaksandr Radskou. The number of members is more than 80,000. A transformation of the " Belaya Rus" in a "real " political party is not excluded. In October 2008, just under half of the deputies of the Belarusian Parliament was a member of political association.

In February 2013, the Association joined with the Polish Self-Defence a cooperation agreement. The two organizations want to exchange experiences in the future, together hold press conferences and carry out joint studies.

In March, followed by a cooperation agreement with the Latvian opposition party Saskaņas Centrs.
