Bella Vista is a city in Benton County in the U.S. state of Arkansas. At the time of the census of 2000, Bella Vista was a census-designated place (CDP ) and had 16,582 inhabitants. It was founded in 1965 near the village of the largest nichtincorporierte community in Arkansas. In 2006, the residents voted to form a Town. Until the official 2009 estimate, the population increased to 25,480.
Geography
Bella Vista is located in the middle of the Ozark Mountains, a highland with deeply incised river valleys, extending from Arkansas in the states of Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas.
The place is located on U.S. Highway 71 at the end of Interstate 540 between Bentonville and the border with Missouri.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 171.9 km ², of which 169.9 km ² land and 2.0 km ² omitted ( é 1.19 %) to water.

At the time of the census of 2000, there were 16,582 persons Bella Vista. The population density was 97.6 people per km ². There were 8854 housing units at an average 52.1 per km ². The population consisted of 97.87 % White, 0.18 % African American, 0.69 % Native American, 0.27 % Asian, 0.01 % Pacific Islander, 0.20 % reported from other races and 0.78 % from two or more races. 1.01 % of the population to be Hispanic or Latino of any race.
The residents of Bella Vista's distributed to 7818 households out of which 13.5 % were living in children under 18 years. 72.4 % married couples living together, 3.2 % had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.2% were non-families. 20.5% of households were made up of individuals and someone lived in 13.3 % of all households aged 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.10 and the average family size is 2.38 people.
The population was spread out with 12.3 % under the, 3.0% of 18-24 year olds, 16.4 % 25 -44- year-old, 26.3% 45-64 year olds and 41.9 % under the age of 65 years or more. The average age was 61 years. For every 100 females there were 92.5 males. In the over -18s accounted for 100 women 90.9 males.
