Bellavista (mountain)

The Bella Vista is a glaciated mountain range on the Italian- Swiss border, the west connects to the Piz Palu and the Fuorcia Bella Vista ( 3'688 m) separated therefrom. The ridge runs in an east -west direction and shows four peaks ( from east to west: 3'799 m, 3'888 m, 3,890 m, 3'922 m). The west-side finale is the Pass dal Zupò ( 3'840 m), which is north of Piz Zupò.

The Bella Vista can be exceeded in more moderate climbing in both directions. Often, the Bella Vista terraces are committed when is traversed by a Palu - in exceeding the Marco e Rosa hut on Piz Bernina, for example.

From the Bella Vista the Morteratschgletscher moves north valley. The south-facing Altipiano di Fellaria called glacier forming at the top of a shallow basin, which extends almost to the peaks of the Bella Vista.
