Features

Standing on the thin stems flower heads have a diameter of 0.5 to 1.5 centimeters. They have two rows of bracts and white, with red hand, often crowded florets. The flowering period extends from February to June.

The achenes are compressed, hairy and have no pappus.

Occurrence

The Annual Blue Daisy is spread over the entire Mediterranean area and also occurs in the Canary Islands. It grassy inhabited, temporarily damp locations and also grows on sand.
