Ben Briscoe

Ben Briscoe ( born March 11, 1934) is an Irish politician and long-time deputy ( Teachta Dala ) in the lower house of the Irish Parliament.

Briscoe visited the Saint Andrew 's College in Dublin and studied at Northeastern University in Boston. He was first elected in 1965 for Fianna Fáil in the Dáil Éireann and thus took his father Robert Briscoe the square. This was after 38 years in Dáil Éireann did not stand in the elections 1965. Ben Briscoe in turn belonged to the Dáil until 2002.

From July 1988 to July 1989 he held the office of Lord Mayor of Dublin ( Lord Mayor of Dublin). His father had held this office from 1956 to 1957 and from 1961 to 1962.
