Ben Lee (Violinist)

Ben Lee ( born 1980 in Eastbourne, Sussex ) is a British violinist and composer.

Lee was " known to the world's fastest e- Violinist " as after he set a new Guinness world record and played in November 2010, the Flight of the Bumblebee in 58.515 seconds. Linzi Stoppard With he plays in Violin Duo " FUSE".

Early life

At age eleven, Lee won in the TV show " The Children 's Channel " to " BSkyB " a contest and recorded his first single at Capital Radio on. He received several scholarships at various music schools. At 16, he was awarded the prize "Daily Telegraph Young Jazz Composer of the Year".

Before FUSE

Lee studied from 1999 to 2003 at the " Royal College of Music in London " violin and composition of film music. During his studies, Lee found work as a session musician. He recorded with The Beta Band "Heroes to Zeros ". This was followed by recordings with Razorlight, the Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Emmy The Great, Goldfrapp and others. He also directed the "Heritage Orchestra". In 2005, Lee, the electric string quartet "Eclipse".

FUSE

End of 2007 Lee founded the band Linzi Stoppard colleague the Violin Duo " FUSE". 2009 signed a record deal with FUSE Edel AG Records and published in the following year, her debut album " FUSE".

In summer 2009, Lee had a traffic accident; he was hit by a truck and suffered minor injuries to his right hand and wrist. Lee started his first attempt in " The Alan Titchmarsh Show" on British television, but missed him by 3 scores. On April 7, he could break the record with a time of 64.21 seconds.

In November 2010, Lee broke the record again, this time on an electric violin with 58.515 seconds.
