Ben Moon (rock climber)

Ben Moon ( born June 13, 1966) is an English rock climber, filmmaker and entrepreneur.

He was in the late 1980s and early 1990s, one of the world's best climbers and first ascent of several serious climbing routes. At 18, he was the route Statement of Youth ( 8 French) erstbegehen. He succeeded with Hubble at Raven Tor in the Peak District, the world's first route grade 8c ( double ). He became famous for his two first ascents Maginot Line and Agincourt (both 8c French) in France in the year 1989. Both routes have been tried for many years by local climbers, but could not be climbed. When he succeeded, he named the routes by provocative French defeats in history. In 2004 he founded the climbing equipment company and later Moon S7.
