Ben Weisman

Ben Weisman ( born November 16, 1921 in Providence, Rhode Iceland, † 20 May, 2007 Los Angeles ) was an American songwriter and pianist.

Life

Weisman, who initially studied classical piano, was an important and successful of Elvis Presley's songwriters since the mid- 1950s. He has written for Elvis Presley, including Follow That Dream or Rock-a- Hula Baby that became worldwide hits and won gold and platinum records Nearly 60 pieces. Even title for numerous movies with Presley penned Weisman's, the Presley always called The Mad Professor ( the mad scientist ). In addition, Weisman wrote songs for Barbra Streisand, the Beatles or Johnny Mathis.

Will You Still Be There was the last of Ben Weisman for Elvis Presley written song, which was, however, no longer published because Presley died previously.

Weisman died aged 85 in a Los Angeles hospital from the effects of Alzheimer 's disease.
