Beñat Intxausti

Beñat Intxausti Elorriaga ( born March 20, 1986 in Ourense ) is a Spanish cyclist.

Beñat Intxausti 2005 won a stage of the Vuelta a Salamanca. In the 2006 season he won a section at Bidasoa Itzulia where he was second in the overall standings. He also won the Memorial Avelino Camacho. Since 2007 Intxausti drove for the Spanish Grupo Nicolas Mateos Continental team. In the years 2008 and 2009 he was at the ProTour team Saunier Duval- Prodir and its successor team Fuji Servetto - under contract. In the 2010 season he won, now for the Basque team Euskaltel -Euskadi driving, the individual time trial at the Vuelta a Asturias. Before the 2011 season, he joined the team Movistar. At the Giro d' Italia in 2013 he wore for a day the pink jersey of the overall leader. He also won the 16th stage of Valloire to Ivrea in the sprint of a leading group before and Przemyslaw Niemiec Tanel Kangert. In the overall classification, he finished in eighth place.
