Benedetto Bonfigli

Benedetto Bonfigli (* 1420 in Perugia, † July 8, 1496 in Perugia ) was an Umbrian painter.

Bonfigli, through its youth nothing is known, in 1454 was awarded the contract, the Cappella dei Priori in Perugia adorn with frescoes depicting scenes from the life of St. Louis and St. Herkulan. After completion of Fra Filippo Lippi praised his work in a report.

From 1464 to 1468 he worked on a triptych Mary and Four Saints in Perugia.

With Bartolomeo Caporali he painted some of the many flags pictures, to implore the help of the Madonna against the plague.
