The municipality of Benito Juárez is one of the 72 administrative units in the Mexican state of Sonora. It borders the Municipalities Cajeme and Etchojoa and the Gulf of California.

History

The district was formed after the construction of the La Angostura dam from parts of the municipios Etchojoa in the 1940s.
