Benjamin Stora

Benjamin Stora ( born December 2, 1950 in Constantine, Algeria, as Binyamin suture ) is a historian known for his depictions of the history of Algeria.

Life

Benjamin Stora was born into a Jewish -Algerian family. This left Algeria after the country's independence in 1962. In Paris he beauchte the Lycée Janson de Sailly, then the Lycée Marcel Roby in Saint- Germain -en- Laye and then went to the University of Paris - Nanterre.

Stora came in 1968 to the Trotskyist group of activists who Alliance des Jeunes pour le Socialisme - called - Organisation Communiste Internationaliste ( Communist- Internationalist Organization Youth Alliance for socialism ). In 1985, he joined the Socialist Party in France, but left that after a personal blow in 1988 with the given himself promises not to include any organized political activity more.

Stora is the author - partly together with other authors - dozens of historical essays and has published articles in French-language newspapers and magazines.
