Benjamin Weigelt ( born September 4, 1982 in Bocholt ) is a German football player.
Career
Clubs
The 182 cm and 71 kg soccer player moved in 2001 from his own youth department for Regional team Rot-Weiss Essen, where he spent three years as a regular player on the left side of defense. Weigelt 2004 rose by RWE to the 2nd Bundesliga, but skipped this League and joined the newly promoted Bundesliga 1 FSV Mainz 05 in Mainz Weigelt was first weeks only substitute. In his first months in the Mainz starting the occasional spirited Weigelt was often the weak point of the Mainz defense network. For the season 2008/ 09 changed Weigelt for FC St. Pauli, but left the club after a season again and moved to Wehen, where he signed a contract until 30 June 2011. The contract was prematurely terminated and Weigelt went in summer 2010 for KSV Hessen Kassel. After a season and missed the rise Weigelt had to leave the club and was out of contract. On 16 December, he was obliged by the third division side Rot-Weiss Oberhausen to win the battle against relegation.
