Bennachie pronounced Ben -a- Hie, is the easternmost mountain in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Quite a few kilometers north-east is still the Mormond Hill, who, however, is much lower at 234 m and is known in English as the hills. The ridge runs roughly east- west direction and has several peaks, the highest, the Oxen Craig, 528 meter measures. Far better known, however, the secondary summit of Mither Tap with 518 m, whose striking peak is on the western edge of the mountain and hilly area underneath surmounted by about 350 m. There is an Iron Age fortification, of who has made you a good view of the terrain in the north and east on him. Traditionally, it is claimed, the Bennachie is the Mons Graupius from the Battle of Mons Graupius, but for which there is no evidence.

The mountain with its slight increase up to the summit is a popular destination for hikers due to its proximity to Aberdeen.
