Benoît Peeters

Benoît Peeters ( born August 28, 1956 in Paris) is a French author of comic scenarios, essays, novels, non-fiction books and radio plays. Since 1978 he lives in Belgium.

With François Schuiten he has worked since 1983 at the series The mysterious cities that made ​​him well known outside Belgium. In a fictional parallel world cities dominate the scene with exceptional architecture and the actions of the respective figures. By 2010, released 13 albums. With Frédéric Boilet he worked at Love Hotel, also with Anne Baltus and Alain Goffin there were joint projects. He wrote several books about comic writers, including 1983 Le monde d' Hergé, a biography and work description of the comic artist Hergé. For the TV channel ARTE, he developed in 2005 a documentary series that a comic artist and his work portrayed in each episode.
