Benque Viejo del Carmen (often just Benque Viejo) is a small town in the Central American Belize.

The town has about 8,000 inhabitants and is located in the extreme west of the country on the border with Guatemala. Belize City is about 130 kilometers away.

Benque Viejo was founded in the 19th century mainly by immigrants from Guatemala. The city lies on the Mopan River near the Mayan ruins of Xunantunich.
