The Berkel river is a 1.9 km long, orographic left tributary of the Ruhr in North Rhine-Westphalia Winterberg, Germany.

Geography

The Berkel river rises about 1.3 kilometers north of Winterberg on the eastern flank of the southern summit of the Middle Kuhle mountain at an altitude of 690 m above sea level. NHN. The creek flows in a predominantly northerly through an uninhabited valley, accompanied only by a farm track on the right side of the stream. After about half of its path the Berkel river is dammed by a pond. After a flow path of 1.9 km of stream flows at 607 m above sea level. NHN left side in the Ruhr. The mouth is located about 2.7 kilometers north of Winterberg.

With a height difference of 83 m, the average bed slope is 43.7 ‰. The 1.446 km ² large catchment area is drained by Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea through.
