Bernar Venet

Bernar Venet ( born April 20, 1941 in Château- Arnoux, France ) is a French sculptor.

Bernar Venet is one of the internationally renowned contemporary sculptors. Venet's steel sculptures are represented in many international museums, private collections and in public spaces.

Life

From the age of ten to be devoted Bernar Venet painting. After schooling Venet studied in 1958 in Nice at the Municipal School of Formative Arts and was followed until 1963 worked as a stage designer at the Nice Opera. Bernar Venet worked at the beginning of his career in the early 1960s with tar, which he processed into monochrome panel paintings. Parallel created gestural images, cardboard reliefs and photographs.
