Bernard de Pourtalès

Bernard Georges Alexandre Edmond de Pourtàles ( born June 5, 1870 in Bellevue GE, † July 6, 1935 in Casablanca) was a Swiss sailor. He belonged to the family of Pourtàles that had been collected from the Prussian king in 1815 (at the time also prince of Neuchâtel ) the title of count.

At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1900, Bernard de Pourtàles formed, along with his uncle Hermann de Pourtàles and his Aunt Helene de Pourtàles the crew of the boat Lérina, which took in the class of boat to 2 tons. They won the first race on the Seine and reached in the second, separately evaluated race for second place.
