Bernard Hebda

Bernard Anthony Hebda ( born September 3, 1959 in Pittsburgh, USA) is Koadjutorerzbischof of Newark.

Life

Bernard Anthony Hebda was ordained on April 6, 1989 by the Archbishop of San Francisco, John Raphael Quinn, a deacon. He received on 1 July 1989 by the Bishop of Pittsburgh, Donald Wuerl, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On 7 October 2009, he was named Pope Benedict XVI. Bishop of Gaylord. The Archbishop of Detroit, Allen Vigneron, donated to him on 1 December of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the president of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts, Archbishop Francesco Curia Coccopalmerio, and the retired Bishop of Gaylord, Patrick Ronald Cooney.

On September 24, 2013, Pope Francis appointed Koadjutorerzbischof of Newark. The inauguration took place on November 5th of that year.
