Bernard Homola
Bernard Homola ( born October 26, 1894 in Mulhouse, Alsace, † 13 June 1975 in Basel ) was a German film composer.
Life
Homola studied with Friedrich Klose, Max Meyer- Olbersleben, Georg Schumann ( Composer) and Heinrich Albert ( composer ). The age of twelve, he worked as an organist in Metz. In the 1920s, he went to Berlin and worked as a film composer. 1928/29, he conducted the Primus -Palast in Berlin- Zehlendorf silent films. His actions obviously made starting your own limited liability company required under his name. In National Socialism Homola became a much sought-after composer and his electronic music has now also listed in the concert hall. During the First World War he was an officer of the pioneers. Since about 1933/34, he lived in Switzerland. There he served as organist / conductor in the "Holy Ghost Church " in Basel worked. With the beginning of 70 Homola suffered a stroke.
