Bernard Parmegiani

Bernard Parmegiani ( born October 27, 1927 in Paris, † November 21, 2013 ) was a French composer of film and theater music.

Life and work

He studied piano and television sound engineering, worked partly as a pantomime and was from 1954 to 1959 as a sound engineer at the French television operates. Since 1960 he was a member of the Groupe de Recherches Musicale (GRM ), where he is responsible for applied music. He created several works of musique concrète, as well as theater and film music. Furthermore, Parmegiani sat for years intensively with video art.
