Bernardino Baldi
Bernardino Baldi ( born June 5, 1553 Urbino, † October 10, 1617 ) was an Italian mathematician, poet and versatile active scholar who left more than 100 works. Due to its versatility he has been called the " Varro of the Cinquecento ." He also served as a student of Guidobaldo del Monte.
His Cronica de matematici with portraits of over 200 mathematicians considered the first history of mathematics.
