Bernardo Verbitsky

Bernardo Verbitsky ( born November 22, 1907 in Buenos Aires, † March 15, 1979 ) was an Argentine journalist and writer.

Verbitsky died in Buenos Aires and found his final resting place. The journalist and writer Horacio Verbitsky ( born 1942 ) is his son.

Life

Verbitsky began studying at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, but it broke after a short time again. His living he earned as a journalist and literary critic for the newspaper " Noticias Gráficas "; later he moved to publishing paidos (Barcelona).

With his 1941 novel, "It difícil empezar a vivir " could Verbitsky successful debut and his 1957 published novel "Villa Miseria también it América " became the namesake for Villa Miseria.

In addition to his literary work, Verbitsky wrote regularly for newspapers and magazines " La Crítica ", " Nosotros ", " La Nación ", " Ficción y América ", etc.
