Bernhard Adalbert Emil Koehne

Bernhard Adalbert Emil Koehne ( born February 12, 1848 in Sasterhausen at Striegau, † October 12, 1918 in Berlin) was a German botanist and teacher. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " Koehne ".

Among his works is the 1893 authored German Dendrology (Stuttgart, 601 pages). For " The plant kingdom " of Adolf Engler in 1903 he wrote the chapter " Lythraceae "; for the joint work "The natural plant families" of Engler and Prantl Carl he contributed to Volume III Chapter 7 " Lythraceae " at, just the same chapter for Volume XIII of the Flora brasiliensis by Karl Friedrich Philipp von Martius. The plant genus Koehneola from the sunflower family ( Asteraceae) has been named after him.
