Bernhard Loibner

Loibner Bernhard ( born June 2, 1965 in Sankt Veit an der Glan, Carinthia ) is an Austrian composer, musician electronic music and media artist.

Biography

, Belongs to his artistic work alongside live concerts of electronic music, both compositions for contemporary dance and theater as well as video, film and radio. In addition to musical compositions, he has expanded his work in the audiovisual field. His experimental electronic music and audiovisual pieces ( " visual music " ) were played at concerts, performances and films.

His work is characterized by the use of live electronic music and the use of the computer as a separate instrument. The resulting manifold sound structures range from silence to noise. Another aspect of his work is the combination of various media forms of expression. He is engaged in the development of its own software for composition and sound design. Programming and composition and sound design he understands it as two ways of looking at the same event.

His community work includes works of the duo " Nerve Theory ", the sound, video and voice is active in the areas with the American video artist Tom Sherman, as well as concerts with musicians such as Karlheinz Essl, O. blaat, Bernhard Gal, Joao Castro Pinto et al commissioned works include music for several films of the director Mara Mattuschka, performing the play of the Austro -German collective Supermas or the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF.

His music and his videos have been released on CD and DVD. He has participated in numerous festivals (including Ars Electronica Linz, Elektra Montreal, Filmwinter, 99 ZAC Paris, Cybersonica London, Arsonica Seville, Vienna generator and Unsound Krakow ).
