Bernhard Potschka

Bernhard Potschka (* March 1, 1952 in Würzburg ) is a German composer and musician.

Life

Potschka originally learned the piano and cello. Later he turned to the rock guitar. In 1973 he became a member of the political rock band locomotive Kreuzberg in Berlin. There he met Herwig Mitteregger and Manfred Praeker, with whom in 1977, along with Reinhold Heil, after dissolution of the group, the Nina Hagen Band and after the separation of Nina Hagen 1980, the band Spliff formed.

One year after the release of Spliff moved Potschka 1986 to Spain. Along with healing, and Lyndon Connah Praeker he founded in 1987 the group Froon, but landed only a minor hit with Bobby Mugabe and in 1989 broke up again. Under the name Perxon or Potschka Perxon he called in 1992 with the singer Michael Ernst- Pörksen (hence the band name ) a rock music project to life and also made ​​a duo Gitarra - Pura flamenco music.

In 1994 he returned to Berlin and was directed there own studio one. From then on he worked as a producer and guitarist for various bands and released several solo albums. In 2004, he and Praeker got back together and formed with manager Andy Eder and the musicians Ron Spielman, Peter Stahl, Benny Greb and Minas Suluyan the band Bockx on Spliff, with the old songs they recorded new Spliff.

Since 2009 Potschka lives in Hohen Neuendorf.
