Bernhard Stade
Wilhelm Bernhard Stade ( born May 11, 1848 in Arnstadt, † December 6, 1906 in Gießen ) was a German Protestant theologian ( Old Testament ).
He studied Protestant theology in Leipzig and Berlin and taught since 1875 at the Faculty of Theology at Giessen. 1882/83 and 1896/97, he was elected Rector of the University. Stade founded in 1881 the prestigious Journal of the Old Testament scholarship (ZAW ).
