Bernt Haas

Bernt Haas ( born April 8, 1978 in Vienna) is a football player with Swiss and Austrian citizenship. The defender played from 2000 on, also in the Swiss national dress, but was not in the squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

Haas began his professional career at Grasshoppers Zurich, where he had collected as a 17 -year-old Champions League experience. In 2001 he moved to the Premier League for Sunderland. 2002/ 03 he went for half a year back to Switzerland for FC Basel, with which he penetrated into the Champions League second round. On his return to the island, he joined the 2003/04 season at West Bromwich Albion in the second-class First Division. 2004 the club reached the summit in the Premier League. At the beginning of 2005 he moved to Haas Corsican club SC Bastia in the French Ligue 1 After the descent of the association in the Ligue 2 he stayed for another year on the Mediterranean island.
