The Samtgemeinde Bersenbrueck is an integrated municipality and autonomous community in the north of the district of Osnabrück, in Lower Saxony.

Geography

Geographical location

The integrated municipality extends from southeastern Artland in the northern Bramgau and includes large parts of the Ankumer height. East joins the Oldenburger Munsterland.

The Samtgemeinderat currently has 36 members from six parties or groups. In addition, the integrated municipality mayor is a voting member of the Council. On 11 March 2012, the single candidate Dr. Horst Baier was elected as the new mayor Samtgemeinde.
