Berta Fanta

Berta Fanta ( born Sohr; * May 19, 1865 or 1866 in Libochowitz, at that time Austria - Hungary, † December 28, 1918 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) was a Trailblazer of the women's movement.

Life

Berta Sohr was born into a wealthy Jewish family and attended in Prague at an educational establishment for young ladies. In 1884 she married Max Fanta ( born February 2, 1858 in Libochovice, † 1925), who had been appointed by his mother Emilie for pharmacists and Fanta shell invented. The family moved to Prague in the house " Zum Einhorn " on Old Town Square, where their children Else (* July 28, 1886, † 1969 in Jerusalem) and Otto ( 1890-1940 ) were born.
