Berton Churchill

Berton Churchill ( born December 9, 1876 in Toronto, Canada, † October 10, 1940 in New York, United States) was a Canadian actor.

Life

After his first silent film role in 1919, Churchill was only sporadically seen in movies. In the 1930s, now in sound films, the strong-voiced actor to a busy movie actor was. He was involved in more than 100 films, mostly in supporting roles. Among his most famous roles include the presentation of the fraudulent banker Henry Gatewood in the Western classics Ringo by John Ford in 1939. Until shortly before his death, which caused uremia, he worked in the film business. Berton Churchill appeared in cast lists mostly under his birth name, sometimes referred to as Burton Churchill.
