Berwyn Price

Berwyn Price ( born August 15, 1951 in Tredegar ) is a former British hurdler, who specializes in the 110-meter distance and was used because of its strength and sprint in the 4 x 100 - meter relay.

At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 he reached the semi-finals in the 110m hurdles and was eliminated with the British 4 x 100 -meter relay in the run- off. In 1973 he won at the Universiade in Moscow.

In the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch he won starting for Wales silver. In the summer he was at the European Athletics Championships in Rome seventh.

In 1976, he took in the European Indoor Championships in Munich Silver 60m hurdles and was eliminated at the Olympic Games in Montreal in the semi-finals. In 1978 he was at the European Indoor Championships in Milan Fourth 60m hurdles and won at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton. In the Commonwealth Games 1982 in Brisbane, he was sixth.

About 110 m hurdles he has ever been six times English Champion ( 1973-1978 ) and Welsh champion (1971, 1977-1979, 1981, 1982 ), 60m hurdles four times English champions Hall (1971, 1975, 1976, 1978). In 1975, he was South African Champion, 1977 and 1978 British Champion. In 2008 he was inducted into the Welsh Athletics Hall of Fame.
