Best Buddies International

Best Buddies is a global non-profit organization that has become the social integration of people with an intellectual disability goal. It is about the promotion of individual friendships between people with and without an intellectual disability. Was founded Best Buddies International in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver in the USA. Headquarters of the main organization is Miami. In 2001, Anthony Kennedy Shriver had the idea to offer its programs in other countries. Since then, the programs of Best Buddies have been used in over 40 countries. The largest branch of the organization is in Canada. Since 2005, an association exists in Germany

Establishment in Germany

Best Buddies Germany initiated by the journalist Inga Griese. The founding members of the entrepreneur and designer Anne Maria hunting field, the lawyer Sybille Naumann, media consultant and former television director Barbara Groth, and the Commerzbank Director Gerhard Bückner, Ute Hartjen include ( CEO of Camara Work AG ) and Martin Bussmann.
