Beta Coronae Borealis

β Coronae Borealis (Beta Coronae Borealis β, CrB ) is a star in the constellation Corona Borealis. It has an apparent magnitude of 3.7 mag and belongs to the spectral class F0. It is 114 light years away and has the 26- times brighter than the sun and a 10,000 times stronger magnetic field.

The star bears the historical proper names Nusakan. This derives from the Arabic al Kas Masakin, which translates dish or bowl means and there was once the name for the whole constellation.
